Getaway is a collection of "freedom focused", self-hosted game servers.
Eventually, ones hosted by others will also reside here that fit the criteria of being "freedom focused".
In this context, "freedom focused" means more than just Libre/Computing Freedom. Though that also plays a role, "freedom focused" refers to freedom from the following:
- Influx of modern trends (whether it be slang/terms, how people act, references, etc.)
- Rules you would expect in modern day servers that don't need to exist (reclaiming, bad vibes, etc.)
- Modern cringe mods/custom content.
- Catering to some "modern idea" on what or how things should be in a game server, just to meet any persons "standards" or "requirements" (this extends to "mod requests"/asking for Administration to add a mod).
